- Chicken broth ½ cup
- American shredded cheese (extra melt) 1 ½ cups
- Roasted hot hatch chiles (use a mixture of green and red) ¾ cup
- Lime juice 1 tablespoon
- Salt and pepper (to taste) 1 teaspoon
- Green onions (white parts removed and finely chopped) 1 stalk
- Cilantro, (stems removed and finely chopped) ½ bunch
- Serrano peppers (roasted) 2
- Tomatillo 1
- Jalapeno pepper (roasted) ½
Blend all the ingredients except the cheese together in a high-speed blender until they are just combined.
In a large pot, bring the blended mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
Simmer the mixture on low heat for 10 minutes after bringing it to a boil on medium-high heat.
After bringing the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
Enjoy the sauce while it's still warm by serving it immediately!
