- Crab claws 6
- Chilli garlic sauce 4 tablespoons
- Shaoxing wine 2 tablespoons
- Chilli oil, with sediment 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar 1 teaspoon
For Serving:
- Spring onions (green part)
- Lemon wedges (optional)
Get your barbecue ready for direct cooking by removing the grate and cleaning the surface of any debris or grease buildup.
Place the crab claws on the barbecue set up for direct cooking and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, adjusting the cooking time according to their size.
Allow the crab claws to cool for a few minutes, then gently crack them.
Whisk together the remaining ingredients in a small bowl, except for the spring onion and lemon wedges. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and cook over low heat until it begins to simmer.
Drizzle the sauce over the crab claws and toss gently to coat.
As a garnish, sprinkle some finely chopped spring onion (green part) on top with lemon wedges before serving.
