For Cake:
- All-purpose flour 1 ½ cups
- Granulated sugar 1 cup
- Hennessy ½ cup
- Butter ½ cup
- Whole milk ½ cup
- Baking powder 1 teaspoon
- Salt ⅓ teaspoon
- Eggs 3 pcs
For Frosting:
- Sugar 4 cups
- Butter 1 cup
- Hennessy 2 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
To Decorate:
- Pocky Sticks
- 2 whole chocolate bars
- Chocolate Truffles that are round
- Assorted chocolates (dark chocolate)
For Cake:
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine the baking powder, flour, and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk together.
Combine the sugar, and butter in another mixing bowl.
Mix the eggs into the sugar, and butter mixture, one at a time, until the mixture is light and creamy.
Pour the Hennessy and milk into the mixture.
Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Use a pastry brush to coat the inside of the cake pan with melted butter.
Bake the cake until the top is golden brown and the edges pull away from the pan. (about 30-50 minutes)
Put the cake aside and let it cool.
For Frosting:
In a separate bowl, prepare the frosting by beating the butter until smooth for the frosting.
Slowly incorporate the sugar into the butter, mixing until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the Hennessy and vanilla extract to the frosting, mixing until it becomes smooth.
Apply the frosting to the top of the cake using a spatula.
To Decorate:
To give the cake a decorative touch, place a few large pieces of chocolate bar and pocky sticks upright on top of the cake, creating some height.
Then, fill the remaining surface with a variety of chocolate candies, truffles, or other sweets of your choice, and serve immediately.
