Ingredients
  

  • Chicken of the sea (15 oz) 1 can
  • Seasoned bread crumbs 1 cup
  • Diced red bell peppers 1 cup
  • Chopped bacon (cooked) ¼ cup
  • Chopped parsley 2 tablespoons
  • Shredded parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons
  • Cayenne pepper 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons
  • Egg (beaten) 2

To Serve:

  • Aioli
  • Hot sauce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Tartar sauce

Instructions
 

  • Take out the big bones from the middle of the mackerel. Discard the skin and shred the meat into small pieces using a fork, then transfer it to a bowl.
  • Take a separate bowl and mix bell peppers, bacon, cayenne pepper, parsley, and parmesan cheese together.
  • Incorporate egg, bread crumbs, and mackerel into a mixture. Stir well until thoroughly blended.
  • Take the mixture and divide it into 12 even portions, then mold each portion into the shape of a patty.
  • Heat up a skillet with oil and fry the patties until they are golden brown on both sides, it takes approximately 4-5 minutes per side
  • After frying the patties, transfer them to paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  • Serve hot with aioli, hot sauce, mayonnaise, and tartar sauce.
