For Chicken Wings:
- Chicken wings 1 kg
- Oil ¼ cup
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
- Creole seasoning 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Cracked black pepper ½ teaspoon
For Louisiana Rub:
- Brown sugar 1 ½ teaspoons
- Onion powder 1 teaspoon
- Smoked Paprika 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano ½ teaspoon
- Cumin powder ½ teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper ½ teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Black pepper ½ teaspoon
- Lemon juice (optional) 2 or 3 tablespoons
For Chicken Wings:
Set the oven to 450ºF and preheat it.
Prepare a large baking tray by lining it with aluminum foil. Place a baking rack on top of the tray and set it aside for later.
Place the chicken wings in a large bowl, then add the oil, red chili, garlic powder, onion powder, creole seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix together thoroughly to ensure even coating.
Take the seasoned chicken wings and place them onto the baking rack, leaving enough space between them to allow for proper air circulation during cooking.
Bake the seasoned chicken wings in the preheated oven set to 450ºF for 35 minutes.
Once the chicken wings have baked for 35 minutes, remove them from the oven, flip them over, and put them back in the oven for another 10 minutes or until they are crispy. Then, transfer the wings to a serving dish.
For Louisiana Rub:
Take a medium-sized bowl and mix together all of the ingredients for the rub, including brown sugar, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Sprinkle the dry rub over the baked chicken wings, then toss the wings in the bowl to evenly coat them.
Once the chicken wings are ready, transfer them to a serving dish and enjoy them immediately.
